Product Summary
Detailed Description
A Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera measures distance by calculating the time it takes for emitted light to reflect off an object and return to the sensor. Each ToF camera emits light within a defined field of view (FoV). If light emitted from another ToF camera overlaps within this FoV, it can cause distance measurement errors due to Multi-Camera Interference (MCI). For example, if different ToF cameras are aimed at the same area, the overlapping light sources can cause malfunction or incorrect operation.
The MCS (Multi Camera Sync) Hub is a board that transmits synchronization signals to coordinate the light source operation of ToF cameras. Therefore, ToF cameras controlled by the MCS Hub do not have their light sources turned on simultaneously, preventing optical interference. This document explains the functions of the MCS Hub and how to operate it using the board.
