Pink Butterfly Shell Clam

CLAMI is the primary collection site for natural clams produced in Korea. It has a total of 79 in 6 tanks that can store up to 500 tons, with a maximum daily shipment of 100 tons. The clams collected here are distributed across the country after being screened and desalted.

Pink butterfly sehll clams are often caught in Gangwon Province, which is the northern part of Korea's east coast. Unlike clams that give off a savory taste, they have a refreshing and soft sweetness. With their chewy texture and rich umami, they are often used in soup dishes.

All clams are manually screened every day and are fresh and safe. They are naturally dehydrated in clean seawater. So there is no sand in clams.
