It is a joint used as the front axle of a front wheel drive car.
It is a material joint that allows power transmission between the drive shaft and the driven shaft, not in a straight line, to be equalized without a change in the rotational angle speed, and a material joint with a large bending angle is attached to both ends of the shaft to offset the change in rotational angle speed.
There are Jefa type, Burfield type, Weiss type, and Tractor type.
It is usually called a CV joint.
