DEMEI Plus cream

Active Ingredient :
- Lidocaine (KP)

Additive(Preservatice) : Methyl Paraoxybenzoate (KP)
Other Additives : Glycerin Monostearate, N-Methylpyrrolidone, Liquid Paraffin, Isopropyl Myristate, Purified Water, Carbomer 940, Polysorbate 60, Propylene Glycol
Appearence : White Cream
Indication :
- Surface anesthesia of the skin during needle insertion or surgical procedures
- Anesthesia of the genital mucosa (e.g. prior to removal of condyloma)
- Surface anesthesia of leg ulcers prior to irrigation or topical surgery (e.g., removal of fibrin, pus, or subcutaneous tissue)
Dosage & Administration :
Adult :
1. Skin : After applying this drug, cover it with sealing tape. The seal on the application site should normally be maintained for 1-3 hours, and the effect lasts at least 1 hour after the sealing tape is removed.
- When inserting a needle (eg, intravenous intubation, blood collection), apply 2g of this drug for a minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 5 hours,
- In the case of minor surface surgery [eg, excision of continuous tumors), apply 1.5-2g/10cm² of this drug for 1 hour.
- For major surface surgery (eg, ruptured skin graft), apply 1.5-2g/10cm^2 of this drug for at least 2 hours and at most 5 hours
2. Genital mucosa :
When removing condylome, apply 10 g of this drug to the treated area for 5-10 minutes, then remove this drug and start the procedure immediately.
3. Leg ulcer :
After applying this drug, cover it with sealing tape, The opened tube is used for a single time, and the remains should be discarded after each operation. Apply 1-2g/10cm^2 for at least 30 minutes and do not exceed 10g for each treatment, For leg ulcers of tissues that are difficult to submit, the application time can be extended to 60 minutes, and the ulcers should be washed within 10 minutes after removal of the cream. When used up to 15 times in 1-2 months, there was no decrease in effect nor increase in local reaction.
3 months - 12 months infant : Do not exceed 2g, 16cm^2 at the application site
Do not administer to the following patients :
- Patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or other amide-based local anesthetics
- Patients with wounded areas, mucous membranes, contact dermatitis or atopic dermatitis
- Infants under 3 months of age
- Infants under 12 months of age taking drugs that induce methemoglobinemia (such as sulfonamides)
- Preterm infants born before 37 weeks gestation
