Describe details
Leuconostoc kimchii MB1220 and Lactobacillus plantarum MB01 are the lactic acid bacteria
originally isolated from Korea's traditional Kimchi,
while the other strain of Lactobacillus reuteri RE isolated from milk.
These lactic acid bacteria are registered strains to the Korean Collection for type Culture and protected by
the Budapest Treaty (The Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of
the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of patent Procedure).
The genome project was finished and published in 2010 for the strain
Leuconostoc kimchii MB1220 in the laboratory of Seoul National University conducted by Dr. Gajin Jeong,
the professor of Immunology who also isolated and characterized Lactobacillus plantarum MB01 at that time.
Postbiotics can be defined in many different ways, but according to the recent definition,
it refers to immobilized probiotics which ingested,
may have the ability to exert positive biological responses and restore intestinal homeostasis in a similar manner to probiotics.
They also may have similar beneficial properties as live probiotics with fewer of the constraints associated with unstable, diminishing bacteria.
In our laboratory, we are producing the postbiotics through the double fermentation
and heat-treating processes followed by the nanoconversion,
so that our product may have the effects of the maximum efficacy of the Lactic Acid Bacteria.
The Effects of Postbiotics
Postbiotics we are proudly producing, may help those by:
① Lowering the blood sugar and preventing obesity,
② supporting the growth of probiotics in the gut environment,
③ alleviating diarrhea,
④ reinforcing the immune system, especially in an immunocompromised group, and
⑥ controlling inflammation.
