Aichi Scissor’s, owned by scissor factory “Dain-tech”, has been crafting professional

cutting shears since 2005. 

At Aichi, we understand that to be the best, you must meet and exceed all expectations.

Therefore, we have arranged 4 main attributes that set Aichi apart from other scissors producers.

1)   Origin

Many scissors companies claim that their product is, “Made in Japan”, or “Japanese scissors”,

or one of many other fancy classifications. The truth is, in fact most of them are not made

in Japan, they are usually produced in other countries and just marked “Made in Japan”

We, on the other hand, do not claim our scissors are made in Japan.

All of our scissors are crafted in our factory, right here in South Korea.

Our stringent craftsmanship standards are set to produce unmatched quality in the field of cutting instruments.

All of our engineers have either A: completed rigorous training from masters of the trade

with production-line experience in Japanese cutting shears companies or

B: have been employed in Japan at a cutting shear workshop. 

After harnessing the know-how and skill to produce top-notch shears, we were able

to combine Korean meticulous assembly procedures + workplace diligence with

Japanese-born steel and very proudly print “Made in Korea” on to every single one of

our products. In the end, we have accomplished the “holy grail” of making a great product

even better with years of R&D and improvements to motion and feel in the hand while

using the cutting shear.

2)   Unique Tension System

In the center part of our pivot screw, the “Special screw tension system” is applied.

This bearing exists for the operator to more easily open and close the scissor.

It allows for a 50% less force to be applied compared to a conventional one-blade bearing system. 

In addition to the ease of use, this unique system doesn’t leave any hair inside the pivot screw.

Additionally, lubricating oil can easily be applied to the bearing and exit out through

the crafted opening, automatically. The scissors will virtually never lock up.
With the combination of reduced friction of blades and Aichi durability,

these scissors are designed to last for years to come.  

3)   Genuine Steel

Aichi only uses imported top grade, certified steel, directly from Japanese steel manufacturers.

We often find that many scissor companies claim their scissors are made using

“440c”, “vg1”, “vg10”, and “ats-314” steel.

We also find that these same companies fail to provide certification from steel makers

to verify their claims. This tends to be the case as many scissor brands don’t actually

produce their scissors themselves and have no idea where their steel comes from.
On the other hand, we, Aichi, oversee production from raw material to the finished product.

Aichi CAN confirm 100% that our steel is directly imported from Japanese steel

manufacturers such as TAKEFU and HITACHI, and we are proud to engineer and craft

this steel in to cutting edge instruments, here in Korea. 

4)   Customization & Authorized A/S Service Center 

As we have been exporting to top-tier professionals with specific demands,

we know and identify the importance of tailor fitting artists with the tools they require.
