Detailed Description

*This Golden Tiger Bamboo is a re-creation of katana representing the 越前(Echizen) province during the 江戶時代(Edo Period). This katana is a typical presentation of a sword representing the Edo Period of Japan.
Starting with SK steel bar(high carbon steel bar), 俊基(Jun Gi), apprentice of famed swordsmith國正(Kunimasa Matsuba) of Miyazaki prefecture, uses a traditional Japanese hearth and uses a hammering machine to forge the blade (kitae).
Once the blade is forged, 孤松(Lee SeungHo), Korea’s top swordsmith with over 35 years of experience, tempers the blade and quenches the blade to make the edge of the blade strong and the body of the blade soft. Then the blade is polished with artificial hamon, completing our Golden Tiger Bamboo katana.
The tsuba features a carving of bamboo and bamboo leaves with 江戶時代(Edo Period) replicas adorning the sword.
There is a half wrap of genuine ray skin on the opening of the saya with a premium lacquer finish covering the entire saya. Jade was used to adorn the saya, adding a premium artistic feel.
This Golden Tiger Bamboo is a Japanese Samurai Sword with outstanding strength and cutting ability. It is a strong performer with collector appeal as well. Ideal for cutting bamboo, tatami and/or straw mats, this katana is also suitable for Iaido practice.
