[Product Description]
The flywheel is mounted on the crankshaft transmission and functions to reduce the unbalance by maintaining the crankshaft torque. In each cylinder, an expansion force is generated once per two revolutions of the crankshaft to rotate the shaft. However, in the other stroke (compression, intake and exhaust), a reverse force is required. Thus, without the flywheel, the rotation of the crankshaft is pulsating, The interval of the expansion stroke becomes longer, such as idling, and the engine is stopped.
[Product Features]
A ring gear is on the outer periphery of the flywheel. When the engine is started, the pinion gear of the starter motor engages with the ring gear to rotate the crankshaft. The side is flat, and the clutch disc is squeezed by the tension of the spring and the power of the engine is transmitted to the transmission. The action of the car increases when the rotational force (torque generated by inertia) that rotates the shaft is large. The magnitude of the torque is the magnitude of the force multiplied by the distance from the center of the shaft to the point where the force is applied. Since the magnitude of force is proportional to the mass of inertia, the flywheel is heavier, the larger the outer diameter, and the heavier the surroundings, the greater the flywheel motions.
