The critical point on the production of composite nanomaterials is the dispersion of CNTs in the host matrix 

(i.e. polymer, resin). To improve the dispersion of CNTs we functionalize their outer surface and the ends(tips).

Carboxyl and phenol-hydroxy functionalized CNTs are commercially available and suitable for a wide range of polymers and resins. The percentage of functional groups caries between 5 and 10% of the total weight of the final product.

Different functionalization schemes (other than -COOH and -OH) can be provided upon the specific demand of the application of the client.
