The AGW (Automatic Girth Welder) system performs welding while driving shell plates for on-site storage tank construction.

The time for tank construction is shortened since welding is performed 20 times faster than in the existing manual welding process.

Compared to manual welding, the welding time is saved as much as 40%. The driving rate also can be adjusted in the range of 0.1 to 2.6m/min depending on the operator’s control. The frame height also can be adjusted in line with the cell height. (1.8m ~ 3.5m)

The equipment consists of the welding head, control, flux support belt, and auto recovery system, all assisting the welding technician.
