EMPA is fully optimised as last mile delivery vehicle through a dedicated body and parts composition optimized for universal use in 2-wheel, 3-wheel, and 4-wheel types, and a platform deck with a structure specialized for individual use and customized loading box.

1. MOTOR ASSISTED BIKE

EMPA comes in 250W single drive (EMPA 2W, EMPA 3W and EMPA 3W TILT) to 500W dual drive (EMPA 4W), equipped with Heinzmann CargoPower motor and HL Mando rear axle dual motor provide optimal mobility and traction for last-mile delivery at the city center. It is designed to carry up to 300kg of cargo.

It is beneficial for logistics players who can bypass heavy traffic jams by accessing the bicycle lane.

2. DRIVE SYSTEM

This Mando footloose, a pedal assist drivetrain works without chain drives, meanwhile, the alternator software managed, this means your mechanical pedaling energy is converted to electric. It is transferred by wire to motors and the motors immediately amplifies your pedal force to create a powerful drive.

This enables you way more efficient by conserving rider's physical strength in various delivery conditions and heavy cargo transportation. Accordingly, it offers advantages to B2B fleet end-user for less maintenance on the drivetrain as well as easy control of gear shift. It is very intuitive and easy to use in terms of control. A display on the handlebar indicates battery status, current speed, gear, etc. Five-level gear adjustments can be made by using the buttons located on the left handlebar. This drivetrain also offers a reverse mode. You can easily reverse by pedaling backwards while keep pressing the down arrow button.

3. PERFORMANCE

Each EMPA is powered by 250W, 110Nm Heinzmann CargoPower motor (2W, 3W and 3W TILT) / 500W, 240Nm HL Mando cargobike motor with Mando e-drivetrain, which allow for a maximum speed of 25km/h.

800W, 46-volt portable lithium-ion battery (2.4kw for 4W) for an effective charging from any socket in every spot, standard range of 80km with a full charge in about 4 hours. This compact battery can be easily removed and swapped instantly.

The motor gives a huge assistance with 110Nm~240Nm of torque that can carry up to 150 to 300kgs full-laden cargo. It allows the bike to tackle steep hills as well as benefit from much powerful drive traction.

It is powered by its own electric motor hub, rear wheel drive and front wheel drive in terms of the difference.

4. CONFIGURE

EMPA consists of two sections as front chassis and rear cargo platform.

We redefined front frame manufacturing by stamping method inspired by the automotive body production, it is molding the high strength steel plate on both sides and make them together with center laser welding. It is approximately 3 times stronger than aluminum, and this leads to no sudden destruction due to fatigue accumulation during the lifetime. On the other hand, it can achieve short production lead time and cost effective by automated production.

The self-developed front fork gives strong durability, stability corresponding heavy cargo and composition is adjustable based on its modular feature. Front coil suspension is applied.

When it comes to rear section, it can be decoupled and swapped out with other configurations.

Based on modular structure, this enables various configurations of cargo containers. It is customized upon customer's purpose. It can be designed by changing the configuration of the cargo box in various forms.

5. CARGO BOX

The standard cargo space range accommodates 1.2~2CBM, custom built roll container on caster wheel directly mounted on the rear platform. It is possible to manufacture the cargo box with a specialized design in response to the customer's request. This allows for customization of the composition of the cargo box.

6. STAMPING WHEEL

This is a patented regarding a composition for different kind of material’s combination, stamping wheel utilized for carrying heavy cargo, we design motor hub stamping wheel which can be engineered to compatible any external shapes of motor. By using high-strength steel plates like the front frame, this offers strong durability as well as it minimizes maintenance efforts especially when heavy weight is frequently transported, in comparison to conventional spoke wheels. Also, it enables short lead time by automated production like stamping frame, advantages of production capability. We provide each wheel powered by its own electric motor hub and general wheels. This is a patented, stamped wheel designed for carrying heavy cargo. We have engineered a motor hub stamping wheel that is compatible with any external shape of a motor.

7. OPTIONS

EMPA offers optional upgrades including covered canopies, front windshield, rooftop, temperature-controlled cargo boxes, solar systems, and additional child passenger seats.
