Primarily, Magnum is a new concept of UV skin examination magnifier that perfectly compensates for the inconvenience of conventional Wood's lamps. Moreover, Magnum has completely resolved the weakness of the existing UV LED Magnifiers and created perfect UV fluorescence images. 

Secondly, Magnum is equipped with polarized & non-polarized light modes, allowing examination of pigmented skin lesions prior to precise analysis using a dermoscopy. 

1. 365nm UV Light (Wood's Lamp Skin Examination)

Examination of pigmented & hypo-pigmented skin lesions including melisma and vitiligo. Also useful for determining the location of the melanin pigment (epidermis or dermis). 

The greatest advantage of 365nm UV is, to be able to emphasize pigmented & hypo-pigmented skin lesions without blue light of 395nm UV. 

2. 395nm UV Light (Wood's Lamp Skin Examination)

Detection of cutaneous fungal or bacterial infection, acne, skin inflammation, etc. Photodynamic diagnosis of skin cancers using fluorescence. 

Photodynamic Diagnosis (PDD) using 395nm UV Light

PDD improves the detection of flat lesions and its borders. It benefits in particular the diagnosis of carcinoma in situ (CIS), which are usually flat lesions and are often not clearly identified under white light. 

The appropriate UV wavelength for PDD is 395nm. 

3. Polarized Light Illumination

Diagnosis of actinic keratosis, non-melanoma skin cancers, and melanoma by reducing the reflection of the skin surface. 

4. Non-Polarized Light Illumination

Better able to examine skin surface.

The LEDs were selected after numerous tests and present perfect polarized & UV fluorescence imaging.
