[Product Description]

 

 

 

 

DACC has developed carbon-ceramic(C/SiC) brake discs for high-end vehicles. Carbon ceramic brake discs utilize carbon fiber reinforcement and silicon carbide(SiC) matrix, materials which offer excellent braking performance and greater safety and combines good physical, mechanical and friction properties, such as corrosion resistance, good heat conductivity and high abrasion and temperature resistance and high and constant friction characteristics in wet, cold and hot conditions. The discs have a life time of approximately 300,000km and lower pedal forces and quick brake response due to high friction value.

*Carbon-ceramic brake disc is made from SiC Matrix (Silicon Carbide Matrix) with carbon fiber reinforcement. It has a lower weight than Cast Iron Brake Disc, so the unsprung mass of the vehicle can be reduced by up to 50%. It also has excellent thermal and mechanical stability at temperature below 1,400 ° C. Therefore, it is possible to remove judder and noise caused by thermal deformation of the brake disc.

 

Moreover, since there is no material degradation phenomenon at high temperature, it has an excellent anti-fade characteristic. Carbon-ceramic brake disc has excellent wear and tear characteristic, so its durability life can be at least 4 times of cast iron brake discs.

Since 2002, we have been developing carbon-ceramic brake discs for Korean and overseas automakers such as Hyundai Motor, AUDI, and Ssangyong Motor. We have more than 30 patents in Korea and other countries. We are leading the expansion of the carbon-ceramic brake disc market through continuous research and development.
