DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS

Combining chain block and a manual trolley, both traveling and lifting are made possible with

minimal distance from beam to lifting hook (”H” value). Therefore, Low Headroom Hoist is the perfect

choice when working under low to very low ceiling height (mines, ships …). Moreover, Low Headroom

Hoists come in various versions, DLHP model is our basic version, DLHG on the other hand includes hand

chain for traveling and DLCG is designed to fit a curved beam track with a minimum radius curve as low as 1000 mm.

Most models are available in Explosion proof version

HOW TO OPERATE

DLHP models are operated just like any Chain Block from Black Bear, pulling one of the two hand chain will either lift

or lower the load. DLHG models has two set of hand chain, one for lifting and lowering the load, the other set to travel

the hoist and its load along the beam track. DLCG models are operated like DLHG models.

CAUTIONS AT USE

Low Headroom Hoist is designed to bear vertical loads only. When lifting a load, upper hook, bottom hook and load chain

should be aligned in vertical position in order to bear the safety load. According to Occupation Safety and Health Acts,

hook and load chain of Low Headroom Hoist should be replaced if the entrance of hook is stretched by more than 10% or

if load chain is stretched by more than 5%. Load chain, hook and chain pin which are directly bearing the load should

be checked regularly since stretched length is difficult to measure through visual inspection. Hoists are devices that are easily

exposed to risk of overload, be careful when using such devices.

CAUTIONS AT PRODUCT SELECTION

Low Headroom Hoist cannot lift loads above the minimum distance (”H” value). Compatibility between hook and lifting component

(lifting eyes, slings, etc.) should be checked prior to handling any lift. Low Headroom Hoists Plain and

Geared type has a minimal value for ”H1”, but for a same load capacity Low Headroom Hoists

Curved Beam Type has a greater ”H1” value; do take those parameters in account when choosing your product.
