Established in 1972, YUJIN Machinery Ltd. ( www.yujinltd.co.kr) is devoted to the manufacture and service of railway vehicle components, especially brake systems and propulsion units.
With a competitive edge in the design, manufacture and supply of key components, YUJIN has attained world-class technology and quality for brake system (consisting of brake control, main air compressor and bogie brakes), pantographs and couplers for railway vehicles. Maintaining this competitive edge and through continuous growth, YUJIN is now the leader in the railway vehicle component industry for the domestic market.
In 1996, YUJIN was appointed by government for the development and supply of the brake system for Korean high-speed train (HSR-350X). YUJIN successfully developed and supplied full brake systems, which include control equipment, air supply system, brake cylinders and disc. HSR-350X surpassed the 350km/h milestone on Dec. 16, 2004 making YUJIN the fourth company in the world with the technology to design and manufacture brake systems for high speed trains. And now YUJIN had supplied the brake system of KTX-2 (560cars) and also YUJIN contracted and is supplying for brake system of 150cars(Wonkang Line) additionally.
YUJIN has supplied almost all brake systems and other key components for EMUs (General EMU to 180km/h, and Electric Locomotive) to major cities in the domestic market. YUJIN begun exporting its products to Taiwan, China, the Philippines and Japan from the mid nineties and successfully gained recognition from overseas clients. YUJIN supplied the complete brake system for 80 cars of Brazil Rio de Janeiro CENTRAL EMU, Singapore Locomotive 8cars, Philippines PNR 18Cars, Malaysia KTMB 30Cars, Kazakhstan Almaty 28Cars, Ukraine EMU 90cars, Brazil Salvador 136cars, Ecuador Quito 108 cars and Turkey Yenikapi 68 cars.
