    How to get information about applying for phone service: Call 02-793-7191, or dial 100 and then press extension 4.
Required documentation: Copies of alien registration card and bank account are required. Visit the telephone office to submit these copies, or fax them to 02-3274-0007.
Activation fee: 60,000 won including installation and VAT. No refund in case of cancellation.
Monthly payment: Basic fee of 5,200 won plus additional charges for use.
Phone service for business or personal usage requires the same process.

You don¡¯t need to pay the activation fee if you reactivate phone service within 5 years of a cancellation. Just pay 14,000 won for installation.
     
    Termination of service
    Apply in writing at a phone service office in your area.
Required documentation
- Phone user: alien registration card, seal, and receipts
- Agent: phone user¡¯s seal, certificate with seal impression, an agent¡¯s seal and identification card, and receipts
- Installation fee refunded after deducting unpaid fees
     
    Transferring phone service
    Transfer by phone: Press the area code plus 0000 or visit a phone service office to transfer phone service in writing.
Fee: 14,000 won (the fee is added to the following month¡¯s bill)
     
    Special services
    Caller ID
A receiver can see a caller¡¯s phone number before answering a call. This service costs 1,500 won per month. This service also records the caller¡¯s phone number if nobody answers the phone.

Caller ID Block
A caller¡¯s number is not informed to the receiver.
The service is free.

Caller Block
Unidentified calls are blocked under this service.
The service is free.

Call Waiting
A receiver can answer other calls while on the other line. The service costs 1,000 won for the first month and 500 won for the following months.
     
    Bill payment
    Bills can be paid at banks, post offices, or other financial institutions that provide bill payment services.
Automatic payment withdrawal plan: A payment is automatically deducted from your bank account every month.
Internet payment plan: Pay bills at the KT website < www.billplaza.com >, < www.kt-eplaza.com >, or through Internet banking.

    Each phone company¡¯s service plans are different.

How to get service < www.ktfmembers.com > The applicant should be eighteen years old or older. Visit KTF Members Plaza with the required documents such as alien registration card, diplomat card, a copy of passport, and a credit card issued in Korea.
     
   

When someone other than the actual applicant applies for this service, he or she must present documents such as the applicant¡¯s alien registration card and credit card issued in Korea, a letter of proxy, and the presenter¡¯s identification card. Activation fee is 30,000 won. You can pay it in cash or by credit card issued in Korea, or have it automatically deducted from your bank account. No refund in case of cancellation. You don¡¯t need to pay a activation fee if you reactivate a phone within three years after cancellation.

Payment
Basic fee of 9,800 won plus additional charge for use. Only credit card payment is acceptable.

Prepaid plan
This new service allows you to pay a phone bill in advance, while charges are deducted from the prepaid amount.

Benefits
Basic fees and activation fees are waived.
VAT is included in each call charge and not charged separately.
No need to worry about late fees.
You can use the phone for 30 days even after exhausting your prepaid amount.

How to apply
You should be 18 years old or older to apply for this plan. Visit any cell phone service provider with a foreigner registration card, a copy of passport, and credit card issued in Korea.

How to recharge
Recharge your prepaid account through your bank account, ATM, cash, Internet, or Yes Card.

Required documents:
Applicants should be eighteen years old or older. Required documents are foreigner registration card, diplomat card, and a copy of passport.
An agent needs documents such as the applicant¡¯s passport, a letter of proxy with the same signature as in the passport, and the agent¡¯s identification card.
- Activation fee: The fee is 55,000 won, and the deposit is 200,000 won. The total of 255,000 won can be paid in installments or by credit card.
- Monthly payment - Basic fee of 14,000 won plus additional charge for use. There are various kinds of phone plans. - Payment can be automatically deducted from a bank account every month. - Deposit refund: Refunds are possible in case of cancellation. Unpaid fees are deducted from the deposit.

When you get a new phone and want to keep the number
Visit any phone office with the new phone to activate your old number. You might not be able to keep your old number for a new phone under an agreement. Therefore, check your phone plan before getting this service.

Changing a phone number
This service is available at all branches. You may also apply to be able to answer calls from callers dialing your old number. Also, a caller is automatically informed of the new number when calling the old number.

Temporally cancellation and termination
You can cancel your phone service temporarily for 180 days. Visit any branch to reactivate service. You should visit the same branch where you initiated your plan for termination and present your alien registration card.

    After installing a satellite dish and receiver, you can watch nearly 140 channels including local networks, movies, news, music, sports, and audio channels, as well as foreign channels such as German DW, French TV5, Italian RAI, Spanish TVE, Japanese NHK, and English channels, e.g., MCM (music channel), WTN, BBC, NBC, CNN, CNBC, etc.

    Cable TV
    Cable TV, an integrated medium of broadcasting and telecommunication, is defined as multi-channel broadcasting specialized in news, movies, music, entertainment, documentaries, sports, religion, education, Baduk (Korean checkers), home shopping, regional channels and aeronautical broadcasting channels.
